In response to the Bitcoin hashmoji that is no longer available on the X social media platform, Tron founder has called on Elon Musk to have a rethink.
Justin Sun Expects Restoration of The Bitcoin Hashmoji
A few days ago, X removed the Bitcoin hashtag emoji that appeared with the use of “#Bitcoin.” Noteworthy, this abolishment coincided with the commencement of the 2024 Bitcoin Conference, sparking a wave of discussion across the broader market. On July 28, Sun highlighted the removal of the Bitcoin hashmoji, describing it as a tradition for the Bitcoin industry.
Therefore, he requested the restoration of “this tradition.”
In his opinion, Bitcoin enthusiasts are willing to accommodate whatever requirement that Musk may ask for. In a follow-up post, the Tron founder referred to Musk’s business acumen, adding that he tries to protect cryptocurrencies. Consequently, Sun is positive that he will restore the Bitcoin hashtag feature as soon as possible.
He also pointed to Donald Trump’s statement about the Bitcoin market value potentially surpassing that of gold.
Any Explanation for the Removal?
So far, there is no explanation as to what led to the removal of the Bitcoin hashmoji feature. Even a DOGE team member and X promoter who initially confirmed the removal, could not provide more details or explanation for the sudden removal. While this abolishment is not limited to Bitcoin alone, Bitcoin enthusiasts are concerned about what could have led to it.
It started earlier this month with the removal of Trump and America’s flag emojis that appeared on the platform with the tags “#MAGA and #Trump2024.” In this case, the Tesla CEO admitted to taking the action because of the unclear sentiment of the United States elections. This could also translate to why X removed the Bitcoin hashmoji at the time.
For now, the Bitcoin Community on X looks forward to an explanation and possible restoration of the hashmoji on X.
