An executive from Shiba Inu recently issued a crucial alert to the SHIB community, addressing the surge in scammers aiming at them.
Be Vigilant, TREAT Launch Still Pending
In an X post, Lucie, a marketing specialist for the leading memecoin project cautioned the SHIB community about scammers attempting to peddle the counterfeit TREAT tokens to them. Lucie said these bad actors inadvertently contribute to the growth of the SHIB and Shibarium ecosystem.
They use the “Treatyourself” hashtag which promotes the token and improves it algorithm. Lucie made it clear that TREAT is yet to launch. Therefore, she advised members of the SHIB community to avoid falling victim to these scammers.
Notably, the SHIB community is eagerly awaiting the launch of the digital asset, especially after the lead developer teased about the amazing features and upcoming developments recently. Lucie advised the SHIB Army to keep up with the latest news and releases by following the top SHIB team members, Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya.
This scam alert emerged after Kusama advised the community and the crypto industry at large to safeguard their assets in July. Shortly after that, Kusama advocated the Shiba Inu ecosystem as a solution to averting the CrowdStrike outage saga.
Lucie Boast Of Shiba Inu Exponential Growth
In a separate post, Lucie talked about Shiba Inu’s remarkable growth. She highlighted its evolution from a memecoin to becoming one of the largest Web3.0 communities. Now, SHIB has over 1.4 million wallets holders, she added.
Furthermore, she compared SHIB’s rise to that of Dogecoin and mentioned the team’s focus is on developing the SHIB Metaverse, ShibaSwap, Shiba Eternity game, and Shibarium. Lucie hinted at the SHIB teams focusing on the Layer-3 blockchain development, a potential move to significantly advance the SHIB network.
Subsequently, the memecoin’s card payment partner, Tangen, inked a strategic partnership with Visa, a global payment platform. This milestone has potentially pushed the digital asset’s usability globally.
