Cardano’s co-founder, Charles Hoskinson has eyes on two crucial developments; a potential game development on Hydra and the Chang hard fork upgrade. The update has ignited discussions among traders and investors in the Cardano ecosystem.
Crucial Developments on Cardano
Charles Hoskinson posted the Saga Doom video game on social media X, hinting at an impending launch on Hydra.
“Coming on Hydra,” the co-founder captioned his post. Surprisingly, the online crypto community has welcomed the idea, with some stating that it is one of Hydra’s best use cases.

Built on the Cardano blockchain, Hydra is a Layer-2 scaling solution that serves a similar purpose to that of the Lightning Network on Bitcoin. Hydra is designed to be fully integrated with the Cardano blockchain, leveraging existing security features and infrastructure.
The innovative solution uses a parallel processing framework, which divides transaction processing across numerous subchains. Each subchain operates independently, allowing many transactions to be executed concurrently.
At the moment, Hydra is yet to launch. However, Hoskinson recently confirmed that the project is on track.
Update on Chang Hard Fork Upgrade
In a subsequent post, Hoskinson said there is a higher community demand for CIP-69 at the moment. He added that the Cardano Foundation is clamoring for the inclusion of CIP-69 in the upcoming Chang hard fork.
I saw the requests coming in for CIP-69. I spoke with the IOI delivery team, and they spoke with the folks at Intersect. There seems to be a lot of community demand for it, and the CF also has been pushing for CIP-69 to be included in Chang.

Despite the Foundation’s push, Hoskinson offered a note of caution. He highlighted the necessity for careful thought to avoid interruptions and the inherent risks associated with roadmap changes. Nonetheless, he assured the community that the development teams would figure out the means to integrate CIP-69 into Chang.
The Cardano Chang hard fork, scheduled for this year, marks a key milestone in its journey toward decentralized governance. It adds minimum-viable community-run governance to the Cardano blockchain, opening the way for on-chain community consensus governed by a constitution.
