The Shiba Inu community scam awareness channel known as Shibarmy Scam Alerts, has issued fresh warnings regarding the rise of fake accounts posing as top SHIB developers, aiming to scam and deceive unsuspecting users.
The Scammers’ Tactics Revealed
In a recent post on X, the Shibarmy Scam Alerts account drew the community’s attention to the ongoing threat of impersonators and scammers who use deceptive tactics to mislead and exploit the community. The scammers’ strategies include the use of fake Telegram accounts impersonating top Shiba Inu developers Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya.
Despite using Kusama’s official Telegram name, Scam Alerts page drew the attention of community members to the usernames, which differed slightly from the real one, revealing the scam. However, an unsuspecting user who is not observant might not notice.
A similar incident involved a fake Telegram account impersonating Shibarium developer Kaal Dhairya. This fraudulent account slightly altered Dhairya’s original username from “@kaaldhairya” to “@kaa1dhairya,” a change that could easily go unnoticed by the unsuspecting.Â
The subtle replacement of the letter ‘l’ with the number ‘1’ can be difficult to spot. Shibarmy says all should remain vigilant.
Shibarmy Sues for Vigilance
The scam alert channel explained that these fraudulent accounts hope to mislead users and direct them to potentially harmful platforms. Scammers employ various tactics to lure unsuspecting users. This includes promoting fake giveaways and directing community members to malicious websites, with the ultimate goal of hacking to steal assets or obtain sensitive information.
Shibarmy Scam Alerts warned Shiba Inu community members to rely solely on trusted sources for information and to be cautious when interacting with anyone claiming to be an official Shiba Inu team member.

It further clarified that no official Shiba Inu team member will ever ask for personal information or request users to connect their wallets to any platform.
Despite these warnings, scammers continue to refine their tactics, taking advantage of the popularity of Shibu Inu and the identity of top developers like Kusama and Dhairya to give their scams a sense of legitimacy, making them all the more dangerous. However, to further safeguard the community, Shibarmy urged members to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help protect others from falling victim to these scams.
