Here’s What Charles Hoskinson Say Is Common Between Cardano, Bitcoin, and XRP

Protocols generally differ but with similarities, one that Charles Hoskinson has pointed out about Cardano, Bitcoin, and XRP

Bitcoin (BTC), Cardano (ADA), and XRP Ledger (XRPL), on the surface, are distinct projects with different letters of the alphabet starting their names. Technically, they belong to the Layer-1 blockchains in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Beyond that similarity, identifying other matches might prove a tough task. However, Charles Hoskinson, Cardano founder, has identified one notable parallel.

Resilience as the Cornerstone of Blockchain Success

Hoskinson highlighted the similarity in a broadcast entitled “Partnerships” on X, which had over 54,500 views.

Notably, Hoskinson believes all three ecosystems have bright futures. He argued that Bitcoin, Cardano, and XRPL are all strong blockchains due to their resilience. He emphasized that this has supported them in overcoming the challenges and obstacles they encounter.

The Cardano founder insists that any big project that has not weathered the storm of challenges in the blockchain industry usually suffers collapse. Hoskinson highlighted Terra (LUNA) and FTX as notable examples of such projects that collapsed due to tests that they faced and failed.

Hoskinson also took time to address the squabbling in the Cardano community. For context, as the Cardano network shifts toward community governance, disagreement has ensued between Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK) and the Cardano Foundation (CF). IOHK is the primary development firm behind the Cardano network, while CF, a Swiss-based nonprofit, promotes the adoption of the blockchain.

Despite these different critical functions, both have engaged in disagreement over issues. During the broadcast, Hoskinson dismissed the disagreement as a “necessary evil.”

He believes any transparent and decentralized process should expect such public quarrels. Particularly because the community has not interacted in such an open way in years.

Hoskinson, however, pointed out that progress comes with such quarrels. This is because the participants find common ground to anchor on and set basic principles. He emphasized that Cardano’s strength lies in its ability to deal with challenges like the current one.

This position dismisses the claims made by Rick McCracken, an influential community member that the disagreements might affect Cardano’s chances of entering and maintaining partnerships with external entities.

Cardano’s Vision for 2025 and Beyond

Hoskinson particularly referenced the recent collaboration with Bitcoin smart contract and interoperability solution provider BitcoinOS. The partnership aims to unlock Bitcoin liquidity on the Cardano network.

In the approximately 38-minute broadcast, Hoskinson also addressed complainers and naysayers. He wondered why they hung around the community if they did not believe in its bright future. He described the need to stay just to complain at every opportunity as ridiculous.

Hoskinson assured committed community members of a great 2025 as the Cardano network would put itself out in the crypto space. He highlighted some leading crypto conferences that the blockchain would participate in, including Bitcoin 2025, Paris Blockchain Week, Token 2049, and Consensus 2025.
